AYURVEDIC MASSAGE AND AMNANDA THERAPY ACROSS OXFORDSHIRE – in your home or at Heal Oxford Wellbeing in Little Baldon OX44
Around 20 years ago I had a one-off consultation with an ayurvedic doctor visiting from India. It left a lasting impression – the small lifestyle changes he had suggested at the time had made a significant difference to how I felt. I trained initially with Sunita Passi, the granddaughter of an Indian Ayurvedic doctor; Sunita now runs training for spas and retreats across the world. I then went on to train with with Laura and Andrew Shakeshaft of Essential Ayurveda. I have since trained with Laura in Amnanda therapy for dogs and horses.
I look forward to sharing this ancient system of healing with you at
Ayurveda – “The Science of Life” – is the ancient Indian system of healing. It considers the balance between the mind, body and spirit to promote good health, enhance wellbeing and delay ageing. Ayurveda places great importance on prevention of disease and maintaining balance in your life. It looks to minimize the effects stress – physical and emotional, from work, family relationships, other emotional stresses and seasonal changes – can have on the mind and body. When a person is living in balance the bodies natural defense systems against disease will be stronger. Ayurveda considers lifestyle, nutrition and yoga important in maintaining balance. Ayurvedic massage is considered a keystone of this process.
According to Ayurveda, physical and mental trauma leaves a residual trace in our cells at the level of cell memory. These residues negatively impact our daily lives, our health, our ability to heal and can lead to premature signs of ageing. The main goal of the Amnanda process is to dissolve traumatic life experiences, at the level of cell memory; to reduce their negative effect on our daily lives and allow a process of rejuvenation or revitalisation to unfold.
The Amnanda process consists of twelve sessions carried out monthly over the course of a year. The rejuvenating therapy uses touch by way of relaxing oil treatments, herbs and time to talk which trigger a deep process of revitalization. Each person’s journey is highly individual, but usually always includes renewed enthusiasm, greater clarity and direction in life, together with restored youthful vitality. https://www.amnanda.eu/en/amnanda-process/
