17 Oct 2025: Recently we’ve written at length on the background of Ofcom, the serious threats to free expression from the Online Safety Act already – and how things would get even worse if Ofcom’s proposed “Additional Safety Measures” are adopted:

Given the threats to citizen journalists in particular, we strongly encourage everyone to respond to Ofcom’s consultation. Please do it now, because there is very little time!

Responding involves adding your answers to a questionnaire document, and emailing the document to Ofcom. The deadline is 5.00pm on Monday October 20th.
