DAY 0 - FRIDAY 3RD DECEMBER - EMAIL THE BBC AND POST TO TWITTER

PLEASE CAN EVERYONE CONTACT THE BBC TODAY at haveyoursay@bbc.co.uk or on WhatsApp +44 7756 165803 with the following message:

Dear BBC,

Starting Monday 6th December, I will be taking part in the national #Together Declaration Action Week, where we will be lobbying our local MPs to make our voices heard about the completely anti-science, illiberal introduction of vaccine passports in Wales, NI and Scotland, and their threatened introduction in England.

On Friday 10 December at 1pm I will be outside my local MP surgery to publicly, peacefully yet firmly challenge Vaccine Passports and will post this on Social Media platforms.

As a state-funded broadcaster, I hope you will be covering this campaign that will be happening across many constituencies. We, the people, need to have our voices heard in BBC news reporting.

Please follow @togetherdec on Twitter for more information, and we trust you will give a balanced view of this campaign. We are simply concerned citizens who value living in a liberal democracy.

#Together Declaration supporters will be Tweeting about contacting the BBC today.

Kind regards,

Once sent, please then TWEET the following:

I’ve written to @BBC_HaveYourSay today.
On Fri 10 Dec I’ll be outside my Local MP surgery peacefully, politely yet firmly challenging Vaccine Passports.
They are discriminatory and illogical.
I hope @BBCNews covers #together day of action.
We need a fair TV Debate on this!

DAY 1 - MONDAY 6TH DECEMBER - PHONE YOUR MP

On Monday 6 December, you will phone your local MP (Find your MP’s Phone Number here). Very politely, either speak to them, or leave a recorded message. It is very important that you do leave a message, as they are obliged to listen to them. It is a very effective way of communicating. The message should say either:
If your MP is AGAINST Vaccine Passports

“Thank you so much for opposing vaccine passports. As your constituent, I shall be voting on the basis on who is opposing them, as I believe this is such an important issue for every citizen of this country.” (make sure you leave your name and number)

If your MP is FOR Vaccine Passports
As your constituent, I am calling to let you know that I am very unhappy that you have not opposed Vaccine Passports. Could you please let me know why this is? I believe they are very damaging to the economy and to our way of life. They discriminate and serve no medical purpose but they will change our democratic society forever. Please come back to me at your earliest convenience as I would very much like the opportunity to discuss the issue with you.” (make sure you leave your name and number)

If they do call you back, please explain to them the same thing as outlined again saying your vote depends on this issue, and explicitly ask whether they will be opposing them publicly. Please be courteous, civil and polite at all times as we do not want anyone to have any excuse to avoid this issue and taint us in any way.

DAY 2 - TUESDAY 7TH DECEMBER - EMAIL YOUR MP

On Tuesday 7 December please email your local MP.
Please stay on point, making it very clear that this is about vaccine passports. You MUST remember to include your name and address otherwise it will be disregarded.

STEP ONE – DOWNLOAD AND PERSONALISE THE LETTER TO MPs ABOUT VACCINE PASSPORTS

STEP TWO – WRITE YOUR EMAIL USING OUR SUGGESTED WORDING AND ATTACH THE MP LETTER WORD DOCUMENT

Dear {insert MP name}
I am writing to you to let you know in the strongest possible terms, that as your constituent, I am deeply concerned and highly opposed to having vaccine passports in any way, shape or form. I believe they are extremely damaging to the economy and to our way of life. They discriminate against large groups of society and serve no medical purpose. They will change the face of our democratic society forever.
I am attaching a letter outlining my concerns in detail.
Please come back to me at your earliest convenience as I would very much like the opportunity to discuss with you.
Yours sincerely,

{IMPORTANT: insert your name, address and telephone number}

DAY 3 - WEDNESDAY 8TH DECEMBER - SECOND CALL & OUTREACH

On Wednesday 8 December, make a SECOND phone call to try to speak to your MP. Leave the same message as on Monday.

If they have already contacted you, disregard this step.

Also on Wednesday, we are asking people to do outreach in their local area to ask people what their views are on vaccine passports and whether they would also be willing to contact their local MP. Please try to reach as many local people as possible, encouraging other people in your local network to do the same.

DAY 4 - THURSDAY 9TH DECEMBER - SECOND EMAIL

NB: THIS IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT SECURE AN APPOINTMENT

Send an email to your MP with the following as relevant to you:

If your MP replied and is AGAINST Vaccine Passports

Dear {insert name},
Thank you so much for responding to me. I am very encouraged that you are opposing vaccine passports and I will be sharing this on social media. I would really encourage you to do the same.
Kind regards,
{insert your name and address}

If your MP replied and is FOR Vaccine Passports

Dear {insert name},
Thank you so much for responding to me. I am very disappointed to hear that you are not opposing vaccine passports. I will be basing my next vote on this, and will be sharing your stance publicly on social media.
Kind regards,
{insert your name and address}

If your MP did NOT reply to your emails or calls

Dear {insert name},
I am very disappointed that you have not responded to my previous emails or phone calls, or clarified your position on vaccine passports. As my local MP,  one of your duties is to respond to your constituents. I am hoping that you will revert to me at your earliest convenience on this crucial issue.
Kind regards,
{insert name and address}

DAY 5 - FRIDAY 10TH DECEMBER 1PM - VISIT YOUR LOCAL MP SURGERY OR BROADCAST FROM LOCAL AREA

Friday 10 December at 1pm there are 3 options, depending on whether you secured a meeting with your MP, and also whether they are actually holding surgeries currently. You can check the location of their constituency office (surgery) here.

If you secured a meeting with your MP

Go to the MP surgery and deliver a print out of the MP letter you sent with your email on Day 2.

Discuss your concerns and ask if they would be happy to have a photo taken with you.

Please be polite and courteous.

If your MP has a constituency (surgery) address

At 1pm stand outside your MPs constituency (surgery) address with a printed #Together A4 Sheet and take a selfie or short video. Instructions will be sent nearer the time.

If your MP does NOT have a constituency (surgery) address

At 1pm go to your local high street or outside your Town Hall and broadcast from there.

Instructions will be sent nearer the time.

By taking part in this campaign, you will be part of a huge, coordinated campaign across all constituencies in the UK to start to make our voices heard and raise awareness.
