NEW: Maggie Oliver (by live video link)
Maggie Oliver is the former detective with Greater Manchester Police who became a nationally recognised whistleblower after exposing failures in the investigation of child sexual exploitation in Rochdale.
After resigning from the force in protest, she dedicated her work to supporting survivors and reforming the justice system. She founded The Maggie Oliver Foundation, which provides advocacy and support to victims of abuse and campaigns for accountability within policing and government. Today, Maggie is a prominent public speaker on whistleblowing, institutional accountability, safeguarding failures, and the protection of vulnerable people. Her testimony has contributed to national debate and inquiries into grooming gangs and policing reform across the UK, and her foundation is involved in High Court action (judicial review) against the UK government for failing to implement the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse recommendations on child sexual abuse protections.
NEW: Emma Armstrong AKA The Wee Glesga Poet
Emma Armstrong, also known as The Wee Glesga Poet, is well known for campaigning against “vaccine passports” and Covid lockdowns and more recently for providing political and social commentary through poetry online, delivered in a strong Glaswegian dialect.
