FREE OUR STREETS – BATH EVENT 2nd FEB CHANGE OF VENUE!

CHANGE OF VENUE: Abbey Suite DoubleTree by Hilton, Bath City Walcot Street, Bath, BA1 5BJ

Do you live in, work in or visit the City of Bath?

BANES Council is planning to impose many more Resident Parking Zones (RPZS) and Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs)

Did you know BANES has announced 15 LTNs and has plans for 48? Roadblocks, bollards, and CCTV will be used to enforce the LTNs and stop you moving freely around your city. LTNs will make your journey to work, school or hospital even longer and will create more pollution and congestion.

The council is refusing to listen to disabled people who will be unfairly hit by these restrictions. They want you to walk or cycle everywhere, but not everyone can – especially the disabled, elderly, parents with small children, or anyone who works with tools.

Many roads in Bath will end up being blocked off. Parking spaces will be removed or restricted using RPZs. Local businesses, shops, pubs, and restaurants will have nowhere for their customers to park. These severe restrictions on vehicle movements and parking by BANES will have a huge impact on jobs and Bath’s economy.

If you’re tired of Bath and North-East Somerset Council not listening to you and carrying out sham consultations… you can do something about it.
